At the Academy in Ghent we were supposed to draw. Luckily drawing could be anything. I used a lot of gouache paint. It’s opaque and has great reflective qualities.
This series was heavily inspired by catalogue photo's of works by Gerhard Richter and Mark Rothko. Again, I forgot what I was drawing or painting here. It is also possible that this was originally a bigger part of a larger drawing.
